Some thoughts for us to live with:
The scripture tells us Abraham was a man of faith. Are we people of faith?
For what shal it profit a man if he gains the
whole world but loses his own soul?
If in this life only we have hope in Christ,
we are of all men most pitiable-
God does supply all our needs, sometimes
our wants, but He doesn't promise that-
It's true Jesus hasn't walked on this earth in
a long time, but that doesn't mean he will not
come back again, this time as King of Kings-
"Some believe we can earn our way to heaven by living a good life and doing good works, but what if they're on their death bed? How will they know if they've done barely enough - or if they're just a little short?"
"For by grace you have been saved, it is the gift of God through faith." Ephesians 2:8
But God Commends his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
